Hi, I'm James
I'm Director of Engineering, Platform at Element Fleet Management, and I live near Salem, Oregon with my wife, our dog, two indoor cats, and several barn cats. I work remotely from my home office, leading our platform engineering team after many years in web application architecture and development.
Away from the keyboard I'm usually in the garage or on a trail: restomodding a 1970 Jaguar E-Type, building up my 4Runner, and welding and fabricating custom parts. I still get into the mountains when I can, and I watch hockey (Go Avs!).

A 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5, built up for the trail with extended-travel suspension, lockers, armor, onboard air, and a rooftop tent.
Haul Goodman
A tractor carry-all and ballast box, designed and fabricated from scratch in the shop.
Mountains are not stadiums where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, they are my cathedrals, the houses of my religion.
